Danish Lego opens eco-friendly factory in Vietnam

Danish toymaker Lego has formally opened its new $1 billion (€930 million) manufacturing plant in Vietnam, in a bid to spice up the corporate’s presence in Asia’s fast-growing markets.

As Information Central stories, the manufacturing unit is situated within the southern province of Binh Duong and marks Lego’s second manufacturing facility in Asia. It can serve prospects throughout the area however ‘is not going to export to the US, as Vietnam faces steep 46 per cent tariffs on its items imposed by Washington.’

Lego started building of the location in November 2022, and it’ll initially ‘make use of 4,000 individuals’ and have the ‘capability of 30,000 tons of merchandise per 12 months.’
