Aaron Pierre has commented on his DCU John Stewart casting.
In October 2024, it was formally introduced that Pierre had been forged in Lanterns and will probably be taking part in Inexperienced Lantern John Stewart in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU. He’ll star in Lanterns reverse Kyle Chandler, who has been tapped to play Hal Jordan.
Talking with ComicBook, Pierre commented on the casting and reassured followers he’s going to do his “absolute best to serve and honor and elevate” the character.
“What I can let you know is that the crew are simply tremendous, tremendous excited to have this chance to convey this story to the folks,” Pierre stated. “And, as far as I’m involved, I’m gonna do my absolute best to serve and honor and elevate in any means I can, John Stewart and the [Green Lantern] Corps. Hopefully, I serve that and it resonates with me.”

The Insurgent Ridge actor has commented on the DCU casting earlier than. When it was introduced he’ll play John Stewart in Lanterns, Pierre wrote on Instagram, “Tremendously honoured and abundantly grateful. A dream come true. Thanks all for the love and delightful power. A premiere date for Lanterns has not but been set; though, Gunn beforehand stated followers might count on it to come back out across the similar time as Supergirl: Girl of Tomorrow, which is dated for June 26, 2026.
