It’s been a tough week for Bend Studio and Bluepoint Video games, which not too long ago noticed their initiatives cancelled. Whereas Sony has acknowledged that the studios wouldn’t be shut down, the long run is unknown. On considerably of a brighter aspect, Bend Studio neighborhood supervisor Kevin McAllister took to Twitter to reaffirm that the developer nonetheless plans “on creating cool s**t.”

Bend Studio’s venture was a brand new IP with multiplayer that constructed upon the open-world techniques of Days Gone, its prior title. It provided a “entire new world” that the studio was “extraordinarily excited to craft,” although additional particulars weren’t revealed. Harmony’s failure is rumored to be the catalyst behind the cancellations and a shift in Sony’s pondering in the direction of live-service initiatives. The hero shooter bought a measly 25,000 copies in its first week or so of launch earlier than being pulled from storefronts. It will subsequently shut down alongside Firewalk Studios.
