Levan Akin’s Crossing and Frida Kempff’s The Swedish Torpedo headed the winners at Sweden’s Guldbagge nationwide movie awards, offered in Stockholm on Monday, January 13.
Crossing received the perfect movie award, offered to producer Mathilde Dedye – the second time Akin and Dedye have taken the highest Guldbagge award, after And Then We Danced in 2020.

Akin obtained the perfect director prize, with the movie additionally successful greatest cinematography for Lisabi Fridell, and greatest sound design for Anne Gry Friis Kristensen and Sigrid DPA Jensen.
Crossing opened the Panorama strand eventually yr’s Berlinale; the movie follows an ageing Georgian lady who travels to Istanbul seeking her transgender niece.
