California Gov. Gavin Newsom criticized the Trump administration on Aug. 8 after the Division of Justice sought a $1 billion settlement towards the College of California–Los Angeles, over alleged anti-Semitism and different civil rights violations on the college.
Talking at a press convention on Friday, California’s Democratic governor mentioned the president “has threatened us by means of extortion with a billion-dollar high-quality except we do his bidding.”
