The Pentagon mentioned Tuesday it should deploy as much as 700 navy personnel to help with immigration enforcement in Florida, Louisiana, and Texas, in help of President Donald Trump’s name to develop the mass deportation of unlawful immigrants.
The troops—drawn from all parts of the U.S. navy and activated underneath Title 10 standing—will help Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) by offering logistical, administrative, and clerical help at detention amenities, based on a June 17 assertion from Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell.
