The Senate on June 27 rejected a decision submitted by Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) that requires a direct retraction of funding and help for any navy exercise associated to Iran by america if it’s not accepted by Congress.
A response to america’ bombing of Iranian nuclear services earlier in June, Kaine’s decision—delivered to the ground after a cease-fire within the 12-day battle between Israel and Iran had already gone into impact—failed in a 47–53 vote. Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) joined Republicans in voting down the measure.
