Trump Administration Ends Deportation Protections for 76,000 From Honduras, Nicaragua

The Division of Homeland Safety (DHS) introduced on Monday that it’s ending protections for unlawful immigrants from Nicaragua and Honduras, coming days after an analogous announcement for Venezuela.

In a press release, DHS mentioned that the short-term protected standing (TPS) for Nicaragua “was by no means meant to final 25 years,” noting that the standing was initiated after a pure catastrophe in 1999 that impacted the Central American nation.
