Vietnam has imposed anti-dumping duties on sure hot-rolled coil metal merchandise from China, dealing a blow to Beijing’s ongoing efforts to make use of neighboring international locations as transshipment factors to disguise the origin of its exports and circumvent punitive tariffs.

The brand new tariff, starting from 23.1 p.c to 27.83 p.c, took impact on July 6 and can stay in place for 5 years, Vietnam’s Ministry of Trade and Commerce introduced on July 7.
